Support for Survivors

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) - a program of the Nova Scotia Health Authority - provides support for individuals who have experienced sexual assault or abuse. Registered nurses provided immediate care within five days of the assault to people would would like supportive care, medical attention, information about resources and more. Victim Services

Halifax Regional Police offers support services to victims of crime, and in particular to victims of domestic violence, sexualized violence, and serious crimes. The police have a special Victim Services Unit comprised of civilian employees and volunteers who work with police officers during these difficult times to get you the support that you need.
